The Cost Of Peace

Why do we only have to rest in peace? Why don’t we live in peace too? Peace is more than the absence of war. Peace is accord. Peace is harmony. For peace of mind, resign as the general manager of the universe. I know you won’t be entitled to retirement benefits and gratuity, but the kids will be just fine. What’s more important, creating peace or you being right? You don’t have to build a relationship with everyone you’ve forgiven. You see, just because you’re at peace doesn’t mean they’re still not toxic.

Nothing will bring you greater peace than minding your business. Unfortunately for a lot of people, minding their business is a little too expensive. Maybe if you weren’t such a gist whore, you wouldn’t have found out that your pastor is a chronic womanizer. Now you can’t listen to his sermons with an open mind. Those who are at war with others are not at peace with themselves.

Peace begins with a smile. When you’re acting a fool, and then you turn to where your mom is sitting and she smiles at you. That’s your cue to be quiet and peaceful. I mean, this doesn’t rule you out of still getting smacked, but maybe with a reduced velocity. And don’t think about it too much. Apply the 5 by 5 rule. If it’s not going to matter in 5 years, don’t spend more than 5 minutes thinking about it.

Peace is not something you wish for. It’s something you make. It’s something you do, something you are, and something you give away. Learning to ignore things is one of the great paths to your inner peace. Like your wife, she’ll be alright if you ignore her for a bit. Just have something special lined up and you’re good. You have to be selective with your battles though. Sometimes peace is better than being right.

The path to inner peace begins with three words. Not my problem. Kids dropping out of school? Meh, they’ll be alright. Wife cheating? Lightwork, this is where all the mistresses come in. Company going under? I’m not even a part of management. I’m taking my portfolio and jumping ship. How do you process the details of the disagreement if you just choose peace but you still don’t agree. Is it like brushing it under the rug? Choosing peace is still discussing the issue in a civilized matter compared to arguing and screaming and no one hears each other out. In choosing that you don’t sweep the situation under the rug, you discuss it and then choose to agree to disagree.

How to attain inner peace. Purchase obscenely large chocolate eclair. Push chocolate eclair into mouth. Lick fingers to hide evidence. Stand quietly for three minutes. Hum your favorite tune softly as you chew. Inner peace obtained. My therapist told me the way to find inner peace is to finish what I had already started. Today I have finished two bottles of wine, and a cake. I feel better already! When you learn to dance in the rain, laugh during the thunder, or sing in the storm, that is when you know you have truly let go and obtained inner peace. Until you get hit by a lightning bolt.

And then it happens. One day you wake up and you’re in this place. You’re in this place where everything feels right. Your heart is calm. Your soul is lit. Your thoughts are positive. Your vision is clear. You’re at peace. At peace with where you’ve been, at peace with what you’ve been through and at peace with where you’re headed. Except you’re dead and you’re headed for the pearly gates. So before that happens, we have to rely on good old meditation. C’mon inner peace.

  1. “Resign as the general manager of the universe” 🤣🤣🤣.

Really, we should just take things easy. We want so much in so little time and this is costing us our peace and making us lose beautiful moments.

This was a nice piece to get this week started on a peaceful note!🤗

    1. You just have to give up the jig yunno. 😅

Feel sorry for young people today. Social media has set unreasonable standards and so they’re never happy with where they are.

      Thank you 😊

  2. Why do we spend the majority of our budget on a Military destructive arsenal? We could make these United States the best, most loved country in the world by making sure our residents are the most well fed, best housed, receive the best health measures free, and most important best educated. People would beg to come to our country to work and play. We could live up the words of the beautiful lady standing in New York Harbor.

    1. Yeah, it makes so much logical sense they simply wouldn’t do it. The earlier people realize the governments of this world are set up purely for selfish interests, the better for everyone.

Tell me honestly, there are at least one or two people in your comment section who you want peace with as they go in-depth on every topic. Right?
