Eyebrows speak louder than words. Truth is, you only get one chance to make an excellent first impression. Your initial opinion on just about anything may change over time. It takes a moment to judge someone and a lifetime to understand them. So judge them anyway.
When I first met her she smelled like bubble gum and roses. Now she moves around smelling like hydraulic. I’m not sure why she takes comfort in the fact that I couldn’t possibly leave her. I’ve left a lot of people for less. You can’t come to me today smelling like yesterday.

If people are failing, they look inept. If people are succeeding, they look strong, good and competent. That’s the “halo effect.’ Your first impression of a thing sets up your subsequent beliefs. If the company looks inept, you may assume everything else they do is inept. Apply regardless.
My first instinct when seeing an animal is to say “hello.” My first instinct when I see a person is to avoid eye contact and hope it goes away. Many people associate stage fright with the fear of looking ridiculous, making a bad impression. For me, it’s like a kind of fever. Keep burning up.
Two things remain irretrievable; time and a first impression. We don’t know where our first impressions come from or precisely what they mean, so we don’t always appreciate their fragility. My first impression is sending a clear message that it is not enough that I should succeed, others should fail.
The first time I see a jogger smiling, I’ll consider it. Life is a first impression. You get one shot at it. Make it everlasting. Your smile is your logo, your personality is your business card, how you leave others feeling after having an experience with you becomes your trademark. I always make a poor first impression.
It saves a lot of time.

😀 I also say “hello” to animals and occasionally to humans.
