Everyone has a photographic memory, some just don’t have the film. I love those random memories that make me smile no matter what’s going on in my life right now. The only reason people hold on to memories so tight is because memories are the only things that don’t change when everything else does. Will you take a million dollars to forget the last three years?
The nice thing about having a bad memory is that you can enjoy reruns of your favorite show. Imagine having to watch “Breaking Bad” all over again without knowing what would happen next, a little sprinkle of dementia wouldn’t hurt now would it? You also become great at keeping secrets. Not because you’re better than the next person but because you’ve genuinely forgotten.

I remember sending a love letter to a girl pretending to be a guy I believed liked her. And responding to that letter as the girl to the same boy. The letters drew them close and in true romantic fashion, they both fell in love briefly. A few days later, they fought when they found out neither of them wrote any of the letters. That’s the last time I tried to play god in people’s lives.
Not only is my short-term memory horrible, but so is my short-term memory. There are flashbacks that are only triggered when you kneel to pray or you’re to concentrate. Many times, it’s never anything good and you start to berate yourself for allowing your mind to wander. No memory affords you the luxury of sitting quietly and bursting into a fit of laughter. That’s type 1 madness
Leave nothing but bubbles, take nothing but memories, kill nothing but time. The best memories come from bad ideas with best friends. My best-friend convinced me to play football with an orange in my parents living room with the TV right above our makeshift goalpost. I juggled the orange and took a shot…this lunatic actually ducked. The orange flew right into the TV and smashed into it! Game over.
We never really grow up, we only learn how to act in public. I may forget a lot of things, but I remember all the lyrics to songs from my teenage years. Priorities. Whenever I hear a song, I am immediately teleported to a time and place where I heard it first. Sometimes the memory comes with a scent and the ambience accompanying the sound. They say one day you’ll live this world behind…
So live a life you will remember

I’m at the age where I can’t remember all the stupid stuff I did in the past. That means i get to do it all over again a second time. The problem is I get the same results.
