Panic causes tunnel vision. Calm acceptance of danger allows us to more easily assess the situation and see the options. A panic attack goes from 0 to 100 in an instant. It’s halfway between feeling like you’ll faint and feeling like you’ll die. I stand behind my decision not to panic.
A quick way to tell if you’re old or not. Fall down in front of a lot of people. If they laugh, you’re still young. If they panic and start running to you, you’re old. There is no panic like trying to press “end call” when you accidentally call someone. Then it registers as a flash.

Sometimes I panic and think there’s a crazy person in my house…then I realize it’s just me. I always figure it out on my own, I just need to panic first. Normalize anxiety, everyone feels it at some point. The two biggest investing mistakes are panic buying and panic selling.
I prefer to take life one panic attack at a time. But lately, several have tag-teamed me at once. Parenthood always comes as a shock. Postpartum blues? Postpartum panic is more like it. You set out to have a baby; what you get is a total takeover of your lives. For a long time.
You don’t have to control your thoughts. You just have to stop letting them control you. Our phones fall we panic, our friends fall, we laugh. Toddlers will take 35 minutes to put on their shoes, but can open 7 apps, delete your gmail and start a group call in 19 seconds.
I have two moods. Constant panic and worrying about every little detail. It is what it is. We suffer more in imagination than reality. Nobody realizes that some people expend tremendous energy merely to be normal. I’m afraid of panic.
Turns out it’s bad for business
