The Generations

Baby Boomers. Had “social networking” back in the day, it was called “Go outside and play”.  Baby boomers blame millennials for everything but who puts carpet all over hardwood floors? And cotton covers on toilet seats? Now, do I think baby boomers tend to be self absorbed? I do.

Generation X. Never had babysitters. Parents left instructions to lock the door and not open it for anybody. The only generation that became 30 at the age of 10 and is still 30 at the age of 50. Fueled by coffee and sarcasm, they were raised on tap water and neglect.

Millennials. Millennial culture is texting someone to let them know you’re going to call them so they can mentally prepare for the eventual call. Millennials rely on music, nostalgia and movie quotes to function. Try not to think of it as a chance to grow. Think of it as a personal attack.

Generation Z. Laugh in public, stress in private. They clean up their own messes. Joke around so much because they know that the future is shit and they’re the only ones that can save it. Gen Z laugh but also have a lot of faith in themselves, even if everything is going to hell.

Generation Alpha. Attention span of a goldfish. The famed TikTok generation. Has very different expectations from the rest of the world. Everything that is going to happen in their lives needs to be visual, on demand, adaptive, in demand and exciting. With a touch of violence.

Generation Beta. Will grow up in a world where smart technology and artificial intelligence are fully integrated into daily life. And in the next 10 years, generation beta is expected to consist 16 percent of the global population. So it’s time to get married, get naked…

And add to the generations
