Lesson one. Only trust people who like big butts…they cannot lie. It’s not the lie that bothers me. It’s the insult to my intelligence that I find offensive. Lying to other people is fine and usually funny, but lying to yourself is tacky. We all know someone who speaks fluent shit. 

A bald spot is like a lie, the bigger it gets the harder it is to cover it up. He who tells a lie is not sensible of how great a task he undertakes; for he must be forced to invent twenty more to maintain that one. Tell a lie once and all your truths become questionable.

If lying was a profession, some people (me) would be billionaires. I can’t stand a liar that gets mad when you don’t believe the lies they are telling you. Don’t lie to people that trust you, and don’t trust people that lie to you. I just got your text (three hours ago, didn’t feel like replying). 

It’s always fun listening to someone’s lie when you already know the truth. Watching a compulsive liar scramble to do damage control when their lies are unfolding is quite entertaining. A liars’ worst enemy is someone with a good memory.  Update your ROM.

You sit on a throne of lies. Lying through your teeth does not count as flossing. The worst lies are the lies we tell ourselves. We live in denial of what we do, even what we think. We do this because we’re afraid. A lie stands on one leg (amputated), the truth stands on two. 

A lie gets halfway around the world before the truth has a chance to get its pants on. A lie is a lie. A white lie is a lie. A half truth is a lie. A hidden truth is a lie. A lie by omission is a lie. Your life is a lie. My life is a lie. We’re all lawyers…sorry liars. 

Actually they’re the same thing.

  4. Why bother lying? Keeping up with lies takes mental energy. You have to remember what you said, who you said it to, and how to keep the story consistent and that’s a whole lot of stress.
