A smooth talker has learned to increase their options in dialogue, without understanding what they are talking about. Each level of this perk will increase your IN by one, for purposes of dialogue only. People talk too much. Humans aren’t descended from monkeys. They come from parrots.

So many girls fall in love with the wrong guy because the wrong guy usually says all the right things. When two people meet who are attracted to each other, like we are, it always starts as a game. I make a move, you make a move, and if the moves are correct, we both win.

Pay more attention to what someone is doing than what they are saying. Talk might thrill but actions reveal. I don’t like to share my problems and because of that, I get a lot of stick from friends and loved ones. It’s a common delusion that you can make things better by talking about them.

He is a smooth talker. Victims always said they were spoken to by a clear, intelligent-sounding adult male who came across as educated. I know a guy who could talk a policeman into committing armed robbery. And if the policeman ever got caught, he’d be convinced it was all his own idea.

Women say they want a man who knows what a woman’s worth. That’s a pimp. Here’s some advice for the ladies; never date anyone who talks smoothly around you from the start. Because if someone likes you, they should be a little nervous around you.

A smooth-talker is always selling you something. Once you discover what it is, you’ve disarmed them. There’s nothing more despicable than a professional talker who uses his words as a quack uses his remedies. A smooth talker can get away with lies until she uses the same line on someone she thinks doesn’t know.

If someone makes you happy, make them happier. Paying attention to people when they speak makes them happy. I’m a good listener. A good listener is not someone with nothing to say. A good listener is a good talker with a sore throat. If people were only allowed to speak on what they understood…

    I agreed with this perspective, too many noisy analysts know little or nothing about the issues discussed – especially in football & politics.

    Or, in other words: don’t assume things based on someone’s words (or looks, I would add — in the broad sense of the word, that is what they present themselves to be in various ways).

    It is hard though, no? Appearance and words do have a strong effect sometimes, which makes it hard not to be affected by them.

    2. Smooth talkers and victims of smooth talking can be both males and females — although I’m sure this is something you share already too.

    If this is true, which it might be, it also partially explains why insecure women with low self-esteem are attracted by those who don’t treat them well. Because they wrongly believe that this is what they deserve and also think that the rest – those who treat them well – are delusionals.

  10. As a talker, nervously closing all the awkward gaps with rediculous admissions no one needs to know, I think I can guarantee the world will never have awkward silences.
    Story: went to the wool shop to buy baby Himalayan wool, which I have done before, but can’t find today.
    “I know I am not well, but where is the baby Himalayan wool again? I’m right in front of it. So I laugh. I pick cream, white and blue. The cashier says,” you do know these two are different? ” pointing to the cream and white balls.” Thank you for taking me at my word. I’m not well, but yes, I know they are different.
    I totally concur on all your other points re smooth talkers. I only accept smooth talking from men older than me. Blessings, dear Lad. Thank you for the good advice. Where were you when I was 19?
