Staying Alive

Why is being alive so expensive? I’m not having a good time. Life is a journey, an adventure. Staying alive means embracing every twist and turn along the way. If he refuses to make a commitment and tells you that he wants to ‘see how it goes’ remember that only dead fish go with the flow.

I’m always saying “glad to have met you” to someone I’m not glad at all to have met. If you want to stay alive, you have to say that stuff though. At regular intervals, I drop in on my wife and tell her how lucky I am to have her. It works like magic every time and has led to my continued survival.

It is important to make friendships that are deeper than gossiping, drinking, smoking and going out. Make friends who you can go get breakfast with, you can cry with, who support your life goals and believe in you. Above all, friends who like juicy gossip and know all the tea.

Life is short but beautiful. Stay alive to witness the magic. The secret of staying young is to live honestly, eat slowly, and lie about your age. It’s a shame after all this time you don’t even bother to chew your food and you wonder why you look the way you do. Imagine being able to lie about your age so good that you start to believe it too!

The weird survive. I like weird people. The black sheep. The mean mugs. The odd ducks. The rejects. The eccentrics. The loners. The can’t crack a smile. The lefties. The I’d rather die in silence. The lost and forgotten. The builder the stone rejected. More often than not, these people have the most beautiful souls.

Here’s some advice. Stay alive. How nice to feel nothing, and still get full credit for being alive. Death is not the greatest loss in life. The greatest loss is what dies inside of us while we live. If you keep yourself alive and current, you stay funny. Life is like looking for your phone. Most times it’s in your hand.
