A Beginners Guide to Situationships

In a situationship, feelings run deep, but the commitment barely scratches the surface. It’s a situationship if it’s a beautiful mess that you can’t seem to clean up or let go of. Instead of seeing the relationship as a line of red flags, you see a carnival instead.

People aren’t even dating anymore. Just talking, taking naps together, catching feelings and ending up in situationships. Nothing more exhausting and emotionally draining as having to break up with a person you aren’t even in a relationship with.

That thing you did the other day really bothered me but I’m not going to let you know because I need you to think I’m chill and easy to be with. Love bombing works on me because it makes sense that someone would fall in love with me in less than a week.

You’re not dating, you’re just auditioning. In a situationship, you can find both pain and pleasure, but it’s your choice which to focus on. Your heart might be all in even if the future isn’t. It’s undefined. A chaos and comfort wrapped up in her smile.

In a situationship, you wander between love and uncertainty. A situationship is not a relationship. Excuses about limitations and obstacles are just a lack of courage and commitment. Those who truly want to be together, find a way to make it happen.

I have no energy to hate. I either love you, wish you well or you’re irrelevant. All I ask is for you to get to know me on a deep, intimate level while I resist and obstruct your every attempt to do so. Ladies, remember to die before telling a man how you feel.

Keep being your toxic self. It’s exotic.
