Abject Objectivity

Objectivity is a subjects delusion that observing can be done without him. One cannot conceive of objectivity without subjectivity. When your mind is full of assumptions, conclusions and beliefs, it has no penetration, it just repeats past impressions. 

Distance not only gives nostalgia, but perspective and maybe objectivity. Smallness of the mind is a cause for stubbornness, and we do not readily credit what is beyond our view. Short people understand this. It’s not our fault you can’t grasp the argument from down there. 

I think perfect objectivity is an unrealistic goal; fairness, however, is not. It’s okay if you don’t like me. Not everyone has good taste. 10% of all conflict is due to difference in opinion and 90% is due to delivery and tone of voice. Especially when it involves XX chromosomes. 

Your life must focus on the maximization of objectivity. Ask yourself often. Am I observing the situation accurately or am I projecting how I feel onto what is happening? The capacity for inner dialogue is a touchstone for outer objectivity. Yes, your tummy is getting bigger.

Objectivity? I always have an objective. Life’s pretty funny when you’re objectively on the outside looking at it. Imagine having an out of body experience when you’re using the loo. So you come out of your body and watch yourself crouched over taking a dump. Hilarious. 

In the end, I don’t know if there’s such a thing as objectivity. Objectivity doesn’t exist or maybe it cannot exist. The word is hypocrisy which is sustained by the lie that the truth stays in the middle. No friend! Sometimes the truth stays on one side only.

  6. “Objectivity” and “subjectivity” are two words that can coexist, albeit it depends on the user and the receiver. That being said, I see the subtle jab at people that are vertically deficient. Conclusively, an individual being objective about a thing doesn’t mean he or she is right. It simply means you aired an opinion from your purview which could be wrong.
