Sacrifices

Long time ago, people who sacrificed their sleep, family, food, laughter and other joys of life were called Saints. But now, they are called IT professionals. The cause of people’s unhappiness is sacrificing what they want most for what they want now.

Your role may be thankless, but if you’re willing to give it your all, you just might bring success to those that outlast you. There’s nothing wrong with being remembered for laying the foundation, unless the house collapses and you’re the chief architect.

Sacrifice is a part of life. It’s supposed to be. It’s not something to regret. It’s something to aspire to. It’s akin to loving a person. Love is not possible without sacrifice, and sacrifice is not possible without love. A mother’s sacrifice isn’t giving birth, it’s going nine months without wine.

If you don’t sacrifice for what you want, what you want becomes the sacrifice. It’s funny that we sacrifice the whole story to get a happy ending. There are two types of sacrifices. Correct ones and mine. Both of us can’t look good at the same time. It’s either me or the house.

The greatest sacrifice is when you sacrifice your own happiness for the sake of someone else. Don’t ever do that, unless you’re a parent. If you love someone you’ll be willing to sacrifice your dreams for them. If they love you, they won’t let you. Moral of the story, don’t fall in love and don’t have dreams.

Life is funny. Things change, people change, but you will always be you. So stay true to yourself and never sacrifice who you are for anyone. It’s not hard to sacrifice something for someone, but it is hard to find someone who deserves your sacrifice. Or someone to sacrifice.

Some of you may die, but that is a sacrifice I’m willing to make. Value the people who sacrifice their something for you, because maybe that something was their everything. Everybody talks about a mother’s love, nobody talks about a father’s sacrifice. Losing all his hair to raise a family. Life is not hard…

  4. I see sacrifices as risks. You never know what result it would bring. However, I’ll just hang on to what Adoniram Judson said “If you sacrifice without success, it’s because someone would succeed after”.

  5. The phases of life that we think are hard or we afriad of them alot, is just because of words. And our behavior built by these words, we react according to them. It’s all because how strong that word is connected to our mind.

  6. This is so precious I am without a story. Love that you mention a father’s sacrifice. Men are rarely acknowledged as parents. I watched my children’s father lose his hair gradually, but I think he pulled it out because of me. And there is nothing wrong about being remembered for the foundation. I am presently a landlord, and the tenants are already making me think, sell the bloody thing. Anyway, love your head. Life isn’t hard. Love that. Best blessings, love and Light.

      1. I know I was shamefully self righteous, but then we were a bit like Mozart and the Whale, two autistic people ignorant of that fact, trying not to die because we put each other on the edge of the paper every day.
        Being a landlord is a new experience, and I don’t know how difficult it can get, but I am prepared for anything. My rental agent absorbs the shocks and I expect we will all survive.
        The hardest thing hasn’t happened yet. Heaven forbid.

  8. True. It is hard to find someone who deserves your sacrifice. It generally backfires when the people for whom you sacrifice say that “It was your duty to do it” or “I never asked you to do it”. Never let anything change you.
