Wisdom comes from experience. Experience is often a lack of wisdom. Greatness lies in not being strong, but in the right use of strength. You can’t wait for inspiration. You have to go after it with a club. Opportunity does not knock. It presents itself when you beat down the door.
Greatness cannot be denied. Surround yourself with the dreamers and the doers, the believers and thinkers, but most of all, surround yourself with those who see greatness within you, even when you don’t see it yourself. The first key to greatness is to be in reality what we appear to be.

Greatness is not a destination. It is a continuous journey that never ends. To truly know me, you need to be immortalized. When legends die, the dreams end. There is no more greatness.
Greatness is frightening. With it comes responsibility. Consider the postage stamp. It’s usefulness consists in the ability to stick to one thing till it gets there. Consistency is the last refuge of the unimaginative.
Someone once told me not to bite off more than I could chew. I said I’d rather choke on greatness than nibble on mediocrity. True greatness consists on being great in little things. Failure is another stepping stone to greatness. If you work hard enough you can be a great failure.
Some are born great, some achieve greatness, and some have greatness thrust upon them. Don’t you dare, for one second, surround yourself with people who are not aware of the greatness that you are. If you want to achieve greatness, stop asking for permission.
The final proof of greatness lies in being able to endure criticism without resentment. Greatness is a practice, not a status. There is greatness in not caring what people think. No great mind has ever existed without a touch of madness.
I’m not crazy, I promise.

You have spoken a lot of truth in this post. Every great person I know is crazy. That’s why I stay away from them.

“I’d rather choke on greatness than nibble on mediocrity.” I love this line!
I must be super-great because most people think I’m mad. 😀
