As a child, before you can even spell “expectations,” you are already collapsing under the very weight. I read a story of a child forced to repeat kindergarten. Imagine being branded a failure so early in life because you refused to share your biscuits with your friends.
Every insult is an opportunity. The school of hard knocks is the only road to human greatness. Most people, once they graduate from the school of hard knocks automatically enroll in the University of Adversity. At this point you get introduced to an accelerated curriculum.
My idea is that while teaching you how to count is fine, teaching you what counts is best. Hard knocks have a place and value, but hard thinking goes farther in less time. Yes your hairline will recede and what’s left of your hair will grey, but you’d have tomorrow covered.
By working faithfully eight hours a day, you may eventually get to be the boss and work twelve hours a day. As I have mentioned continuously, the reward for hard work is always going to be more work. Concern your efforts with things that align closely to smart work.
Everything in your life is a reflection of the choices you have made. If you want a different result, make different choices. The current way your tummy looks is a 100% your own making. Information may be free but education is priceless. Today is a good day to try.
