On The Road

Sometimes the best therapy is a long drive with good music. Before you head out, it’s imperative to take out time to curate the ideal playlist, so that the correct songs are cued as you arrive your destination. Can’t be pulling up to the driveway blasting Adele’s “Hello from the other side”.

It doesn’t matter how old you are, buying snacks for a road trip should always look like an unsupervised 9-year old given a wad of cash. Don’t buy things for a road trip because you need them, you buy them because they might come in handy. And that’s all that matters.

Have you ever noticed that anybody driving slower than you is an idiot and anyone going faster than you is a maniac? Road trips are the best because the whole family gets to spend time together and annoy each other in interesting new places. Fuel up, vibe out and argue passionately.

The goal is to die with memories, not dreams. Roads were made for journeys not destinations. They’re the equivalent of human wings. You know more of a road by having traveled it than by all the conjectures and descriptions in the world. When nothing goes right, go left.

Road trips are the only time where getting lost is not a bug, but a feature. You can’t take Google Maps too literally, one time I nearly drove off a cliff. Worst part was the map kept reiterating that in twenty meters, my destination would be on the left. Murderous map trying to take my life.

If you don’t sweat while driving then you’re not paying attention to the road at all. Sometimes I get road rage just pushing a shopping cart in a supermarket. Some people call it road rage, I call it expressing my feelings in a way that won’t be misunderstood. A lot of people suffer from road rage.

Not me. I happen to enjoy it.

  2. Stealing this for my dashboard : ‘Roads were made for journeys not destinations ‘.

Adele at the driveway is a vibe killer, but I didn’t say that.

In your words again ‘ The goal is to die with memories, not dreams ‘ and definitely not with Google maps saying ‘in 20 meters, your destination is on the left’ while you’re mid-cliff.

    #Witty road-rage energy😂#

    Memories –> Dreams–> Playlists –>Everything else 🥱

  3. You don’t sweat while driving because you drive a functional car with a good air conditioning system and also your excretory and digestive system decides to act right.
