“Just follow your passion, and the money will naturally follow! If you love what you do, you will never work a day in your life.” If you follow your passion blindly without a scalable business model, you will just end up turning a hobby you used to love into a deeply frustrating, underpaid chore that you eventually grow to despise.

“Don’t stress, everything happens for a reason, and the perfect timing will present itself when you are truly ready.” If you sit around waiting for the stars to align, the only thing you will achieve is getting older while watching people who were half as ready but twice as brave take the opportunities you let slip away.

“Your online community really values you! Look at all those likes, comments, and connections. You are surrounded by a massive support system.” If your Wi-Fi cuts out permanently, 99% of your community won’t notice you’re gone. Algorithmic validation is a cheap substitute for real human connection. Touch grass.

“If you just work hard, keep your head down, and do a good job, your talent will be noticed and rewarded.” Hard work is just the baseline, not a golden ticket. In the real world, the quiet genius in the corner gets bypassed for promotion by the loud, average guy who knows how to network and market himself.

“They have so much potential, and with enough love, patience, and support from me, they will finally change for the better.” You are running a relationship, not a rehabilitation center. You can’t love someone into maturity, and trying to do so usually results in you breaking yourself to keep them whole.

“I’m just too busy and exhausted today, but I will absolutely start my diet, business, or budget first thing on Monday.” Monday is code for “never.” Delaying action isn’t a strategy, it’s a symptom of fear, and until you accept that discipline requires discomfort right now, your future will just be a carbon copy of your past.

Take comfort in the hard truths.

      1. I guess he made a living too. Campbell was a special man, very brilliant and erudite. His books on Comparative Mythology (he kinda invented the term comparative mythology) are wonderful, and give you a wonderful perspective on religion and everything else.

  4. Trying to stay positive but am very frustrated.
    Am attempting to purchase something online from Makro.
    Their system keeps telling me they have sent me an email.
    Nothing comes through.
    Their consultant sent me a mail.
    It came through.
    grrrrrrrrrrrr.

  8. you also can’t love people into seeing their imperfections. If you stay long enough, they turn into beast🤣 leave or live with it for life
