Speeding

Asphalt has no mercy for overconfident drivers. You press the accelerator thinking you’re in a Fast & Furious movie, forgetting that one wrong move transforms your car into scrap metal. Two ways to reach your destination, arriving late or arriving in an ambulance. You don’t have to explain anything to anybody if you’re already dead.

Do you fall in love quickly or is this tactical love-bombing? You sent fifty texts while they were asleep, shared a wedding banquet option on pinterest and you’ve had conversations to buy matching hoodies, meanwhile it’s only been a week? I know you’re super concerned about your emotional, but it’s your mental that’s in real trouble.

Your fingers move faster than your brain cells can process the question. If you’re quick enough on the buzzer, you might build an early lead and make everyone think you’re a certified genius. But that same frantic speed can make you select option B when your brain clearly knew the answer was C. No podium finish.

Doing household chores feels like a personal productivity victory until you actually inspect the aftermath. You zoom through the dishes, feeling proud of your new world record for cleanup. The pride vanishes immediately when you pick up a “clean” spoon later and feel that unmistakable film of leftover vegetable oil.

“Slow and steady wins the race” is the kind of terrible advice that leaves you stagnant and broke. Making haste while the sun shines is essential, but wisdom demands that you walk slowly when navigating the dark. Balance is everything. Know when to step on the gas and when to gently tap the brakes. No broken toenails or bodies.
