What Are You Doing

With your life. You were sent here for a purpose. Have you discovered what that purpose is? Do you know how long you have left? You’ve already slept for a third of your life. What’s the one thing you’ve contributed to society? Will it be remembered over the next 100 years?

With that partner. Are you good enough for them? Do they feel lucky to have you? Are they the right choice for you? Are you the right choice for them? Are you settling? Do you ever wonder if they settled? Are two children enough? What will a third child bring that two hasn’t?

With your brain. The average adult human brain weighs about 3 pounds and consumes roughly 20% of the body’s total energy and oxygen. It also produces about 20 to 25 watts of electrical power while awake, enough to power a small lightbulb. How many bulbs have you lit?

With your time. Your head ages slightly faster than your feet because your feet are closer to Earth’s center. If you could give up some of your time to a person who’s using time wisely, would you take the offer? Would you be making a difference elsewhere if you weren’t reading this?

With your money. Do you even have money? Of your last twenty purchases, which one was worth it? Since you got a new phone to take more pictures, why is that that you’ve taken less photos since that time? Was it all a lie? Are you just attracted to the shiny new toy.
